We are pleased to announce that the preparations for the 3rd Annual Portland International Muslim Cultural Festival, “Silk Road Echoes,” are well underway. This festival aims to highlight modern artistic expressions and present the best of Muslim Cultural tradition while promoting awareness of Muslim cultures among American Muslims and the broader American audience. The Festival includes performances by renowned Muslim artists who live in Oregon and SW Washington.
The International Muslim Cultural Festival is a program of the Muslim Educational Trust (MET). MET is a cultural, social, and educational institution founded in 1993 with a mission to enrich the public’s understanding of Islam and dispel common myths and stereotypes, while serving the Muslim community’s educational, social, and spiritual needs.
Please join us for this celebration of the diverse cultures and traditions of Muslims, representing over 42 ethnic groups in Portland, to bridge greater understanding and dialogue.
